Bloober Team has announced that the Cronos: The New Dawn story expansion, Cronos: Lazarus, will be released on December 3, 2026.
Cronos: Lazarus follows a former Pathfinder as he transforms into the Warden. He becomes separated from the Collective, isolated within the Terminal, and tries to revive a lost Essence while keeping his mission hidden from his former allies.
However, the Collective has deployed a new enemy specifically designed to track down and eliminate him. This pursuer can adapt to the Warden’s abilities, making encounters increasingly demanding.
Unlike the base game’s slower, more deliberate combat, Lazarus emphasizes aggressive encounters and greater mobility. Although the Warden operates at reduced strength, he still has access to advanced equipment and abilities associated with the Collective.
New gameplay mechanics include creating decoys and temporarily becoming invisible to enemies. The story will also explore the Warden’s past and his relationship with the Collective, adding context to events in the base game.
Cronos: The New Dawn is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
