Tomb Raider Legacy Of Atlantis Trailer Showcases How The Game Is Reimagining

Crystal Dynamics and Flying Wild Hog have released a new trailer for Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis focussed on how the game is overhauling the stages set in Greece.

As fans of the original 1996 game will recall, Lara visit Greece after Peru and this section of Tomb Raider houses St. Francis’ Folly, Colosseum, Palace Midas, The Cistern, and Tomb Of Tihocan. It’s also here that Lara is stalked by Pierre Dupont, a mercenary hired by Natla to retrieve the pieces of the Scion. Presumably all five stages will be reimagined in Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, but for now, we at least have idea of what to expect in the video below. Check it out.

Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is scheduled for release on PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X/S on February 12, 2027. The game has caused controversy for its use of generative AI, although Crystal Dynamics’ Jeff Adams did clarify that the technology was used to “get to [the] right answer faster,” with AI making placeholder assets to assist in visualisation of a particular object.

The Tomb Raider franchise is celebrating its 30th anniversary next month, with the original Core-developed adventure title launching for Sega Saturn on October 24, 1996 and followed on PC and PlayStation in November.
